			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Barbara Biben is a founding member of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center Advisory Board, serving on the Executive Committee and Co-Chairing the Nominating Committee. She was the first woman to run a department at Gannett Rochester Newspapers and serve on the Publisher’s Operating Committee. She was also the first women President of the Advertising Council of Rochester.</p>
<p>Barbara was a founding Board member of the Greater Rochester Women’s Fund and President of the International Newspaper Promotion Association, Eastern region. She served on the Board of Trustees of Highland Hospital and was Founding Chair of its Women’s HealthSource.</p>
<p>Barbara was awarded the Key to the City by the Mayor of Rochester, was a recipient of the Matrix Award from Women in Communications and the prestigious Lantern Award from the Ad Council. Currently, Barbara is Vice Chair of the Board of the Theater Development Fund and serves on the Mount Sinai Auxiliary Board.</p>
<p>Alfred Stern was Vice  President of Enterprises Division at NBC, followed by Chairman and CEO of Television Communications Corporation, a cable company that he sold to Warner. After forming the cable television division, it later became Time Warner. Alfred then became President and CEO of Warner Cable Corporation and Senior Vice President of Corporate Affairs.</p>
<p>Alfred was named CEO and Chairman of Mount Sinai Medical Center. He was awarded “Trustee of the Year” by Modern Health Care Magazine and a Doctor of Humane Letters from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He served as Chairman of the Board of Public Broadcasting System and President and Chairman of the Board of the Film Society of Lincoln Center. Alfred was a Trustee of the American Museum of Natural History, the Public Library, WNET/Thirteen, NYS Hospital Trustees Association and the White House Historical Association. Alfred is currently Chairman of the Board of the Center for Democracy Studies.</p>
<p>Alfred and Barbara have a blended family of 7 adult children and 12 grandchildren.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Dr. Samuel L. Guillory was born in Pasadena and raised in rural California. He is an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. For over 30 years, Dr. Guillory has been in private practice, specializing in pediatric and adult ophthalmology, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side.</p>
<p>After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronic Engineering from Northrop Institute of Technology, California, Dr. Guillory received his Medical Degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1975. Followed by his internship in pediatrics, Dr. Guillory completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Mount Sinai Medical Center. After a fellowship in diagnostic ultrasonography at Cornell Medical Center, he joined the faculty of the Mount Sinai Medical Center in 1979.</p>
<p>Dr. Guillory has been an advocate for children and families through several leadership positions with the United States Fund for UNICEF and the National Board of Directors of Recording for the Blind and Dyslexic. He has also served on the board of the Nominating and Governance Committee of the United States Olympic Committee, the United States Tennis Association and the Convent of the Sacred Heart in New York City. Dr. Guillory is a recipient of the prestigious Jacobi Medallion and the Bela Schnick Pediatric Prize. He is a current member of the Mount Sinai Alumni Association and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Judith Hannan, a member of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center Advisory Board since 2005, is a  writer. She was previously the Director of Development of the 92nd Street Y and the Children’s Museum of Manhattan. A former Chairman and current member of the Children’s Museum’s Board, Judith volunteers there, and at the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, helping homeless mothers and teens explore their inner lives through writing. Along with her husband John, Judith is also a member the Mount Sinai Children’s Center Foundation and the hospital’s Global Health Initiative Advisory Board.</p>
<p>John is the Chairman of the Board of Apollo Investment. He is a Senior Partner of Apollo Management, L.P., which he co-founded in 1990. In 1993, he was co-founder of Apollo Real Estate Advisors, L.P. John serves on the boards of the Food Allergy Initiative, The Nightingale-Bamford School and The Allen Stevenson School. Judith and John live in Manhattan and have three children.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Carol is a founding member of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center Advisory Board, where she has served on its Executive Committee, various subcommittees of the Board, and as Co-Chair of the Nominating Committee.  As a native New Yorker, she is “committed to her community and to improving the quality of life for others, especially the underserved.&#8221;</p>
<p>Her philanthropic involvement includes Board positions at the Educational Alliance where she served as Chairman of the Government Affairs and External Affairs Committee. Carol currently serves on the Advisory Board of NYU Langone Medical Center’s Women’s Heart Program. In addition, she has supported breast cancer research and patient programs at NYU Cancer Center. Throughout her lifetime, she has continually supported the efforts of UJA Federation of New York.</p>
<p>Carol earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Finch College and since has been active in the world of real estate, first in retail leasing and later in commercial and residential real estate. She is a broker at Prudential Douglas Elliman, and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. She also serves on the Board of her Manhattan apartment building.</p>
<p>Carol is dedicated to furthering the mission of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center in providing hope and opportunities for young people to become healthy and productive citizens. Carol has become even more committed to the health and well-being of all children since becoming the proud grandparent of Wilder and Dylan.</p>
